What’s so perfect about living in Inner Sydney is that you have the perfect mix between metropolitan life as well as urban life. These are the top 7 and close by walks you can do if you live in Inner Sydney. What’s great is that most of these walks you don’t even need to drive to so you can get that much needed exercise into you!
This is my favourite walk and I walk this route about 4 days a week. Start at Hyde Park, make your way through The Domain Park in order to get to Royal Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens itself demands a good 30mins to 2 hours depending on how much you want to roam around. The flower and plant arrangement in the garden is truly magnificent!
The garden doesn’t allow pets unfortunately but you can feed eels and ducks if you wish.

This 2.5km walk could be one of the most rewarding urban Sydney walk for anyone! You can cover the Opera House, Circular Quay, Bradfield park and the character packed Rocks on the way to Barangaroo.
This is a relatively new walking route as the Barangaroo reserve only opened few months ago. What I love about this walk is that it’s open 24/7 and well lit at night.
4. Darling Harbour to Jones Bay Wharf
I personally love this walk, it’s the perfect mix of city and nature. What’s best is the whole walk is by the bay, perfect to bring along your furry friends!
You will also get to see the beautiful Pyrmont and Pirrama park along the way. On the way back grab a cup of frozen yoghurt for a reward or go for full on dining in Darling Harbour.
5. Bondi to Bronte Walk
This 4km coastal walk should secure the top spot on everyone’s Sydney bucket list. I’d recommend sports shoes as the path could be rocky. Same deal for the next 2 walking paths.
6. Bondi to Coogee Walk
If you want to take things a little further and up the bar, keep going until you reach Coogee.
This walk will take you between one and two hours, depending on how fast you want to stroll, and how many times you stop for photos along the way.
7. Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Walk
This 8km walk should take you about four and a half hours, so block out half a day and soak up the sunshine. Start early and celebrate your successful stroll with a delicious lunch at Doyle’s!
